The fixings were really easy to assemble – the diagrams were mostly straightforward except for one point where we hadn’t noticed we were putting a piece on back-to-front!

I purchased 2 of these because I like how they look, but the panels and shelves had some minor chips . It was not at the front and I did not want to go through the hassle of returning so I’ve kept them. However, I would have expected better quality from IKEA. The other downside is that the hinges are not soft closing (I was not aware of this) and the doors bang so loudly. Are any soft closing hinges available for the HAUGA cabinet as I would really like to replace these?

This unit works for the purpose intended for, chosen for a difficult space. Looks good and is very practical with plenty of storage space. Seems pretty sturdy, even though I constructed it alone with only a screwdriver (was a slight struggle, so those without physical abilities or assistance available might want to consider IKEAs build services with the purchase).
